Java J2EE Web Application Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java J2EE Web Application Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in application development and deployment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable solutions, including comprehensive JUnit test cases.

Responsibilities:

1. Application Development:
• Design and develop Java J2EE web applications using Spring Boot and/or Java based on business requirements.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
• Implement and maintain software functionalities to ensure the application meets quality standards.
2. JUnit Test Cases:
• Develop and implement JUnit test cases to ensure the reliability and robustness of the application.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to validate software functionality.
3. Deployment and Configuration:
• Manage the deployment process of Java J2EE applications, on various environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot application servers, ensuring seamless deployment and performance.
4. Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
5. Documentation:
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment procedures, and code documentation.
6. Performance Optimization:
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the Spring Boot application.
• Optimize code for better efficiency and scalability.
7. Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with QA engineers to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
8. Adherence to Best Practices:
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Java J2EE web application development.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Servlets, and other J2EE technologies.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebSphere.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
• Knowledge of database systems (MYSQL, JDBC) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong collaboration skills.
